Our story
Marvellous.Earth is about understanding the beauty of our planet before we lose it — and learning from the places where protection already works.
Three perspectives
Nearly Gone — Bring It Back
Landscapes, species and abundance that disappeared — and what their loss can teach us.
Stories coming soonStill Here — Protect It
Extraordinary ecosystems that still exist today — and the choices that can keep them alive.

Species and ecosystems that returned — and the people, policies and ideas that made it possible.
Stories coming soonThis is about us, too
Healthy ecosystems are part of the systems that feed us, give us water, regulate climate and make human life possible.
Pollination, fertile soils, fisheries and genetic diversity support the food on our tables.
Forests, wetlands and healthy soils store, filter and move freshwater through landscapes.
Oceans, forests, peatlands and soils store carbon and influence temperature and rainfall.
Nature gives us materials, medicines, knowledge, culture, wonder and places to belong.
The beginning
This is the first version of Marvellous.Earth. Over time it will grow into a collection of places, species, ecological connections and stories of successful conservation.
Later, products and knowledge made possible by these landscapes can help finance the project and connect everyday choices back to the Earth.
